What is Lip Blush

Lip Blush has taken it's place in the PMU world and is here to stay! Gone are the days of over drawing and smudging lips, if you're interested in having your lips done then read on...

What is Lip Blush?

Lip blush is a permanent make up treatment that enhances the colour and shape of your lips to give the impression of more fullness. It is done by implanting pigment into the lip tissue and lip line, the results are subtle achieving very natural looking results.

I offer two different styles, the Lip Blush is a full lip colour with a sheer effect, this adds a beautiful soft coverage. You can just gloss and go or add another colour lipstick on top whenever you fancy. The other style is the Full Lip Color which is a full coverage lip colour, bolder than sheer lips, this is ideal for clients that prefer the lipstick look rather than a soft gloss and go look, with this style you won’t be able to change the colour of your lips easily.

Can your lips be made bigger?

Tattooing outside of the lips is not possible but perfecting the shape of the lip will result in an even edge creating the impression of a fuller lip.

What are the benefits of Lip Blush?

  • Improve lip definiiton.

  • Restores colour to lips that have become or are pale.

  • Kiss and smudge proof colour.

  • Make lips appear fuller.

  • May save you time in the mornings getting ready.

How long does it last?

It can last up to two to three years but results will vary from person to person, for example, sun exposure and smoking will speed up the fading process.

How much does it cost?

Lip Blush costs £350 and that includes the top up that is done around 8 weeks after the initial procedure.

Who is not a good candidate for lip blush?

Anyone under the age of 18, pregnant or breastfeeding, undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy, using prescribed medications or that have some skin conditions and have had filler in the last 6 months should not have their lips done.

Lip Blush and coldsores

The treatmetn does not cause coldsores, it stimulates the dormant virus in the body resulting in a breakout after the procedure. Antiviral medication is recommended before and worth asking your doctor. Loss of colour is a side effect if a breakout is present during the healing process.

Does it hurt?

Of all permanent make up procedures, lip blushing might be the one that hurts the most due to the lip area being very sensitive. However, numbing can be used and is highly effective.

How will my lips look immediately after?

Your lips will be swollen and look as if you had lip fillers, Swelling takes a couple of days to reduce. The colou will be very bright and intense. They will feel dry, tight and tender to touch. The best way to describe the feeling after the treatment is of sunburn, this does not last very long.
